Fast File Uploads and Downloads
Working with the File Manager feels like working with your PC. The in-built drag & drop functionality will allow you to easily transfer files between your desktop computer and the web server. Simply select the file that you would like to upload from your PC and then drag it to your browser. The same goes for downloading a file from the File Manager to your computer. Additionally, you can download files and even folders to your computer by pushing the Download button.
Easy File Editing Options
With the File Manager graphical user interface, you can create a brand new file or folder with only a single click. All action buttons are conveniently placed above the file/folder list and you can modify your files without difficulty. You can rename or copy a file, move a file to a different folder, view the contents of a file or modify its permissions, delete a file, and so on.
Handy Archive/Unarchive Functionality
With the File Manager, you will be able to archive and unarchive all types of files. It does work incredibly fast - simply select the files you would like to make a zipped archive of and push the Compress button. You can even select the compression format (.rar, .zip, etc.). It is just as easy to extract an archive file to a selected directory.
File Editors
With the File Manager, you actually do not need any external pieces of software to edit your files. There is an image viewer, which allows you to view the contents of your image files to get an idea of how the images will in fact appear on your website. Moreover, you will find several integrated file editors, which will give you total control over your files. The plain text editor and the code editor are meant for more knowledgeable users, whereas the WYSIWYG editor (where you can see all HTML source code changes in real time) is also suitable for technically inexperienced individuals.
